Regular saxophone lessons at Woking Music provide a structured and enjoyable learning experience for all levels. Whether you're just starting out or looking to develop your skills, our experienced teachers tailor lessons to your goals and ability.

Lessons cover core techniques including embouchure, breath control, finger placement, and tone production, before progressing to scales, improvisation, music theory, and different musical styles. You'll also explore exciting repertoire suited to your musical interests.

We offer supportive, constructive guidance to help build your confidence and musical expression. Saxophone hire is also available exclusively to students, making it easier to get started without the upfront cost of buying an instrument.

Alongside weekly lessons, students can continue developing their skills and gain performance experience at our Weekly Jam Nights.

Technical Proficiency

Developing a strong foundation in saxophone technique, including proper embouchure, breath control, fingering, and articulation. Ensuring smooth execution of melodies and complex passages.

Ear Training

Develop your ability to recognize and identify different sounds, notes, and chord progressions by ear. A strong sense of relative pitch or perfect pitch can help with improvisation and playing by ear.

Sound Quality

Improvisation

    Emil is an accomplished Saxophone Teacher and a respected figure in the local jazz scene. With years of experience in music education, tutoring both piano and saxophone, as well as conducting workshops for fellow musicians, Emil brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the Woking Music Team. We're thrilled to have Emil as part of our musical family!
