Designed for young musicians in school years 3–13 (ages 7–18) with at least six months of playing experience, our Under 18 Band Classes offer the thrill of playing in a real band. Every session is supported by expert tutors, professional-quality equipment, and a dedicated Safeguarding Lead for each U18 group.
We offer three levels — Beginner, Foundational, and Intermediate — each tailored to a different stage of musical development.
Beginner classes run on Saturdays and are divided into three age groups to create the most supportive environment for first-time band players.
Foundational and Intermediate classes run mid-week after school (typically 16:30–18:00) and are for young musicians further along in their journey — ready to come prepared, having rehearsed their parts independently.
We also offer a 40% discount on the termly fee for each additional sibling joining.
Our Beginner Band Classes are designed for young musicians ready to experience playing in a band for the first time, with specialist teachers supporting them every step of the way.
First Half – Instrument Sessions
Students work in dedicated drum, bass, guitar, keys and vocal groups with their specialist teacher, using silent rehearsal equipment to learn and develop their parts.
Second Half – Full Band
Everyone comes together to rehearse on professional live equipment, putting their parts into practice as a real band.
It’s the perfect introduction to playing with others — building confidence, musicianship and teamwork while having fun making music together.
Beginner
Foundational & Intermediate
Our Foundational and Intermediate Band Classes are for young musicians ready to take more responsibility for their playing. Students learn their parts before each session, allowing rehearsals to focus on playing together as a band.
Foundational
Builds confidence and independence through more challenging songs, with tutor guidance and support when needed.
Intermediate
Introduces more complex material, greater independence and a more professional rehearsal approach, with tutors acting as musical directors.
Both levels run midweek after school (16:30–18:00), developing musicianship, teamwork and live performance skills.
